Do you decorate for fall?

I do! LOOOOVE it! :) It's my absolute favorite time of the year. Boutique Cafe has a topic on their message boards today all about decorating for fall. I'm not great at decorating, although I wish I had a better eye for it.

Candles are my biggest obsession right now. They add such a warmth to the home! And there's just something I LOVE about someone walking into my home and saying, "Wow! It smells GREAT in here!" I have banana bread and pumpkin spice candles burning right now. I ordered a Macintosh Apple scented one the other day and can't wait till it arrives.

I haven't decorated yet but the cinnamon candles are in use. We got 2 wonderful scented candles as wedding favors last weekend. My nephew and his fiancee made dozens of candles as gifts for their guests. One has been on the warming plate at least once each day and the scent is heavenly.

Oh I am a scent FREAK! I love candles and those glad plug ins and also FEBREZE!

As for candles I like the bakery scents like pumpkin spice, sugar cookie and gingerbread. I don't like flowers or the perfumey (is that a word?) scents!

For spring and summer, I like tangy fruit scents, like cantaloupe and honeydew. I don't like scents that are too sweet or smell like perfume. For fall and winter, bring out those "bakery scent" candles, apple pie, cinnamon and vanilla bean. Oh, and they have to smell natural not like artifical scents. Vanilla especially is one that can be very bad in some products.

I agree. I actually don't like vanilla anything... candles, shower/body items, etc. No vanilla scents here.

But for summer I love the Glade plug in called Summer Berries. I think that's what it's called. It's a bright fresh scent and really nice. If they had a lemon one I'd be all over that though!

Fall is when I start getting into the bakery and spicy scents. I also frequently put a pot on the stove with orange oil, cloves, and cinnamon and just simmer that all day. It makes the home smell amazing!
