Show and Tell Friday....

Today my item to show you is this glass sculpture by artist Rollin Karg.

I mentioned this once last Spring but I have a lot of new readers so I'll show it again. Mr. Karg was doing the interior decor for a restaurant The Man (aka my husband) was opening. At the end of the project he gifted this piece to us. I like it because it's nothing I would've ever chosen! It's the 'wrong' color, the 'wrong' style for our home but somehow it fits perfectly! I get so many comments on this when people come into our home! Someone recently even offered me $200 for it and I had to turn them down. :) I really love it! (The flowers in front are some that my children stole borrowed from a neighbor's yard.)

I think it's absolutely stunning. But like you say...it wouldn't fit in our home. But, I'd take it and find somewhere it would fit. And your photo with the spring flowers makes it even that much more pretty.

My Show N Tell is shared. Hope you can drop by and leave a comment. I love visitors you know. :o)

I would have had the same reaction -- pretty but it doesn't fit with everything else. Funny how different styles do work together some times. $200! Wow!

What a fun game!

I will play-- soon.

I have people at my house right NOW moving in my new sectional!
I bought a lovely, contemporary area rug, and decorative pillows to match the new ensemble.

I would love to show it off at show and tell Friday!

Lovely piece, by the way!

It's a great piece and probably worth the $200 or more. You've done a beautiful job of photographing it for show and tell.

I love it. I would feel the same way about it, but I know it would somehow work in my home as it has yours. Great post.

What an interesting piece. It is something that I wouldn't buy myself, but I'd gladly accept it as a gift lol...
