Happy Valentine's Day!!

Happy Love Day to all of you lovelies. Do you enjoy this day or no? I enjoy it a bit but I certainly don't get my hopes up for anything romantic. One year The Man got me an "I Miss You" card on this day. Ummm honey, did you even open the card before buying it? Didn't think so. Another year I got the most awful bag of Palmer's chocolate. You know that terribly waxy icky stuff from the grocery store? The Man should know by now that I'm a chocolate snob but whatever. So yeah, I don't have my hopes up.

I will, however, enjoy doing something fun for the kids by making an all red/pink dinner. Pasta with red sauce, red punch spritzers to drink, sliced red radishes, pink applesauce (just sprinkle in some red jello), and cherry cheesecake for dessert.

I have to say that now that I have my True Love, Valentine's Day is always good.

He got me jewelry this year, which has not happened before because we just haven't had the money! (Thanks Etsy!!!!!)

We will be doing a family dinner tonight with our 14 year old son. Hubby is going on a 3 day fishing trip, so we're wanting to squeeze in all the family time we can get.

We will be having New York Strip steaks, some form of potato, salad, Martinelli's sparkling something-or-other, and either chocolate covered fruit, or chocolate parfaits that I found on MyRecipes.com.

Happy Valentine's Day!

I say...NEVER GIVE UP!
My dh is a sweetie, but not necessarily a romantic.

But I was way surprised when delivered flowers at work...a beautiful bunch of tulips!

Have a great V-day with ALL your loved ones!

Happy Valentines Day! I agree with
you Palmer chocolate is wax.
I prefer Swiss, German and Cadbury!
We also have a great confectionary
in my town that makes hand dipped.
