Let's talk time management...

Shall we?

In my last post I mentioned that it is taking at least 32 seconds for each page to load on this computer I'm currently using. That was a drastic understatement.

So in the time it takes me to check one email I can...
fix a grilled cheese sandwich or
make 2 pairs of earrings or
read a book to The Baby or
brew and enjoy a pot of coffee or
give myself a manicure or
fold a load of laundry or
take a shower, shave, and wash my hair or
dust the living room and dining room or
eat a bowl of soup or
clean the bathroom or
work on my Christmas cards or
squeeze in a quick workout or
go pick up the big kids at school.

And when I get back to the computer, the page is STILL not loaded.

At the risk of sounding too whiny (I know, I'm too late for that) I am grateful that I have a computer at all as a backup. My other option would be lugging Bad Baby to the library and hoping he wouldn't find anything to dump on the floor. But you and I both know he would.

(Surprisingly, my blog loads in about 60 seconds so it doesn't take too long here. But I don't have access to any pictures so this makes 2 posts in a row with those pesky words. If you're a picture kind of person and you've read this far, just scroll down to see pretty color.)

Hope that you get it fixed soon, it sounds painful.

With my old dial-up internet service, I used to get so much done while waiting for pages to load, much like your list. It used to really bug me, but now nothing gets done around here and I almost miss it.

Hang in there Beki!

ah yes. reminds me of those days when it sometimes took *minutes* to upload a picture to etsy. (that was only a little over a year ago.)

thank goodness for faster speed.

:( Gotta find that silver lining somewhere!

I remember the dial-up days. GAG! I'm spoiled by high speed. Hopefully the computer doctor will come through for you!

Our internet is our connection to the outside world isn't it??? Without it I would go NUTS!!!! (If having 4 kids hasn't done that to me already!!!! LOL)
