Prayers please.

Meet Jess. She was The Girl's teacher for 2 years. She was The Boy's teacher for 1 year.

We were so completely blessed to have her as our kids' teacher.
The Boy wanted to marry her because he "liked the look of her."
During her year teaching The Boy, I learned that she was pregnant.
She was supposed to have him in her class for an additional year, but as soon as I heard the news I knew she wouldn't be back after the baby was born.
I'll be honest, I was very sad.
As a parent, I was totally selfish and wanted the best possible teacher for my son and she was it.
But as a parent I also knew that her baby would be blessed beyond measure to be put in that family. She would be the perfect mom.
And she is.
Now meet Cora, her baby.

This gorgeous baby girl, born into such a wonderful family, was diagnosed with cancer Friday.
I can't say that I'm super close to the family as we've lost touch a bit with her not teaching any more.
But I can tell you that she had a HUGE impact on my kids' lives and I've spent the past few days in tears over this news.
No one should have to deal with this.
No one.

I know the power of prayer. I know this blog reaches a lot of people.
And I'm asking for you to pray for this young family and baby Cora. She's already had one surgery since the diagnosis and begins chemo this week.

I don't understand God, but I know that He is good. All the time.

My heart is breaking along with you. I don't understand either. But I agree, God is always good. Life on earth is rough, but God is always good and we can trust in Him through the best times and the very dark times of life.

I'm praying for baby Cora. She is absolutely precious.

Will be keeping baby Cora in our prayers. It is so hard to understand and only God knows. Seems there are so many babies around the blogs that I read that are very ill. She will be added to my prayers. Thanks for posting about such a beautiful little girl!

I've been so blessed to have 4 healthy children. I'll never be able to understand why a little one has to endure such a thing... You can certainly count on me to add to her prayer chain.

Oh it's so sad when cancer strikes. Especially when it's a child. God has a plan though. Even though we can't fathom it. I will keep baby Cora and the family in my prayers.

I have been hearing so much tragedy surrounding children lately and it is absolutely heartbreaking!!! I wanted to let you know about http://www.caringbridge.org/

A lot of parents "blog" about their children's sickness here and its away for the parent to explain situations without having to repeat their stories of sadness over and over again. Maybe it will help her. God bless that baby girl!
