The adventures of a bad baby...

who's really a bad toddler, not a baby anymore but that's his blog name and it's stuck.

Honestly the bad things happen so often that I've sort of become oblivious to many of them. I just clean it up and move on with my day.

I really should keep a list though, because I'm sure people would be amazed at how much trouble a 2 year old can get into.

He recently climed on top of the washer, got a bottle of ammonia from the shelves above, then took it to the dishwasher and dumped the entire thing in and started the dishwasher. Holy burning eyes!! I had to open all the windows and leave the house for several hours.

And there was the time he dumped a box of thumb tacks in my purse in The Wal Marts. For the next month every time I reached in to grab my wallet, I'd yelp.

The other day he took me and showed me a pile of poo the new puppy had made on the floor. I said, "Okay, I'll be right back! I'm going to get paper towels!" I ran off and when I came back the poo was gone. Ack!!! Where's the poo?! I found The Baby carrying it around in his hands.

Yesterday when I was working on jewelry orders, I thought he was happily watching Noggin. But when I went out to check on him, this is what I found.

He'd stripped and decorated himself and the walls with the most beautiful shade of orange he could find. Thank you Mr. Clean for Magic Erasers.

I pulled a new white hair from my head this morning. I can't imagine why it was there. 31 has been a rough year for aging me.

I'm adding this to the "hooked on" series. Because I'm hooked on Magic Erasers. ;-) Click here to see what others are hooked on.

Too funny! Life sure is fun at your house :)

Oooo...The orange is just fabulous! He certainly has an eye for color! :o)

When my daughter was that age she decided to write all over the wallpaper with ball-point pen. That was even too much for the Magic Eraser to get off. I ended up having to try to hide the "artwork" with paint. Yes, on top of the wallpaper.

This is hilarious! It reminds me of the time I decided to write the alphabet in crayon all over the windows of my mom's station wagon. LOL

He looks so cute all covered in marker!

I love your blog! This post made me laugh. I have 3 kids: ages 6, 4, and almost 3. This kind of thing is a daily occurrence in our house!

I'm new to following this blog, and am MUCH past the parent thing. My kids are 40. I just want to say what we hope our children will grow up to be... like curious, artistic, independent are often the things that drive us the craziest when they are little. This kid is gonna be some fantastic grown-up.

I would cry...my toddler does the same thing though. Walls, furniture, LCD tv screen, Toilet, clothes....nothing is safe and all have been turned into a canvas for art!

The ammonia is BAAAAAAD! I think I'd be pulling more than one white hair! LOL!

Ohhhh, you poor thing! Just think, though, what would you write about it you didn't have the BABY? My son was really boring if I compare him to yours. He only marked the wall once with a crayon and then no more. Sorry, please don't hate me!!

Thanks for the laugh, he is adorable! When I first left my daughter, 2 1/2, alone with the baby (thinking she was deep into Dora-land) she had stripped him naked. He peed all over her, himself, the couch... :)

Your bad baby is adorable! When my daughter did something similar it involved the club chair in my living room, her sisters new (silk) curtains, bedspread and sheets. I didn't need to take pictures - I can look at remains from that rampage anytime I want.

Oh how funny, brings back memories for me too! My 3 kids used to blame their cousin Teddy for everything and I believed them. But then we moved to NC and the first week in our new house, "someone" did magnificent crayon art all over the wall going down the basement stairs. I started yelling when I saw it and one of them yelled back "Teddy did it." Only one problem ... Teddy was still in Illinois! Made me wonder what all he DIDN'T do.

Beki...This is just a riot! I think you should enter this photo in a contest somewhere. It's a winner! I think you should blow it up to poster-size, and use it someday to black-mail the little imp!!! LOL!!

Love your stories! If it will console you in any way, it could be worse.

He could have eaten the ammonia. When I was his age, my aunt moved in a new house where the previous owners had left some gasoline in a coke bottle under the sink. Two year old me thought it was Coke and ended up in the E.R. No serious injuries though.

Oh and the poop... I did that too. My older brother still laughs many years later that I apparently thought it was chocolate and the family caught me from eating it.

BTW, I have no sense of smell if that explains any of these weird stories.

If I'm any indication of what his future will be like, you only have to worry about him being *sligtly* weird. :)
