It's coming...

Spring is on the way.
And then summer.
And I get to have my kids home all the time!
YAY!
I really love having them around. Most of the time.
Of course, I have my moments like every mom.
But for the most part, I love spending time with them.
I've been known to keep them home from school a time or two just because I wanted to spend the day with them. They love that.
To those of you who work at our school, pretend you didn't see that part m'kay?

It's time to bust out the self tanner.
I'm the whitest white girl ever.
And tan fat looks better than white fat.

YAY Spring!

I'm hooked on Spring so I'm adding this post to the "Hooked On" series. Click here to see what others are hooked on!

That's a new one, tan fat looks better than white fat! But I have to disagree, I think I'm the whitest white girl.

Spring is in the air here today on the west coast! I was out and had to take off my jacket! I can't wait to wear short sleeves, of course all that white will be showing, oh well!

"tan fat looks better than white fat" hahaha!

I always loved having my kids home too. Once in a while I'd let them skip school and have a 'mental health day'. Just a day when we could spend quiet time together. And now when I think back, that time was priceless!

One of my favs! It used to be my excuse to go to the tanning bed but I am astaining this year!

I'm excited about Spring's arrival as well, in fact I wrote a post on the very subject today.

I really enjoy reading your (almost) daily posts!! Guess you met "our girl" Jess cuz she was you're older kids teacher? (I'm the 3rd grammy from Calif, actually her Dad's first cousin). I used to let my girls skip a day just cuz I "needed" them. They turned out just fine!! All you young women are an inspiration to me. Thanks and keep on lovin our Lord and enjoying your families.

I feel you on the white part! Since living in Oregon (moving from Southern California) my skin has been whiter than ever!

Alas, I will never be tan (natural redhead), so I guess I better work double time to get my winter pudge off before the weather gets nice, lol! :)

Our weather just keeps teasing us! We had 70s' last week, then 6 inches of snow fell Saturday. It was back to 65 degrees today, 70s for the next few days, and more snow by Tuesday! I wish it would make up it's mind!!!!

Try homeschooling! Then, you can have them around ALL. THE. TIME.

I absolutely love this picture, and I'm assuming you took it, so I officially despise you for your talent. Of course, if you didn't take the picture... ;-)

Kidding,
Your awesome.
I can take it.

Dang it! I missed your birthday...see what happens when I let my google reader get out of control?! Happy birthday a couple of days late, but at our house the celebration lasts at least a week, so I hope your birthday WEEK is a fun one! :)

I feel the same way! I can't wait to take long hikes with the whole family and the dog, go camping, go to the fair. I love having my kids home in the summer. :)

So funny!
I can't blame you for keeping the kids home once in awhile - they're far better off spending a few extra days with you than a few extra days at school! (I'm so happy I homeschool - heehee).

AND I'm all over the self-tanner. There's "sparkly white", like beautiful Nicolle Kidman, then there's "grey white" like me. Ewww.

SUMMER HERE WE COME!

That's so funny. It got up into the '60s today and I was looking down at my bare arms and legs and thinking, Yikes! I seriously could use some self-tanner right about now. Ha.

Thanks for joining my party. Enjoy the weekend! :-)
