Unplug it!

I wanted to wait until my kids were out of school in a few weeks before we did our first Unplug it day of the year.

I don't enjoy it.
At all.

But it's good for us!
Sort of like veggies.
Or those annual lady check ups. (sorry gentlemen.)

I'm just falling very behind on things so I'm declaring today Unplug it day.

If you're not familiar with it, click the button above to see what I'm talking about.
See you all tomorrow!

Unplugging it is a fantastic idea. I definitely spend WAY too much time doing blog stuff on the computer. Good thing I'm not hooked on texting and tweeting, otherwise I'd NEVER have time for a life!!

I'll be cutting back on my computer time during the summer. Till then, I'm going to try REALLY hard to unplug it one day a week. Thanks for the incentive!!

And thanks also for your comment on my dining room post. The purple ceiling seems to be a popular choice!! Glad you like it -- the more positive feedback I get, the braver I'll be about doing it :-)

I am going to attempt this tomorrow. If I end up in a puddle of tears on the floor from being disconnected from the world I will let you know. On Saturday.

It's never well liked in our home either, but by the end of the day things are usually running nice with everything unplugged. I think this summer I am going to have 2 days declared unplug it day :)

No! I won't do it! I won't! I'm on to you, Beki. You and your evil peer pressure... C'mon, everyone's unplugging... Run away! Run away!

Why are the things that are good for us have to be so difficult?
Good luck with it Beki!

Wendy's comment is hilarious!!!!

I've been unplugging our TV for 1/2 day, everyday. I'm not missin' much either. But I MUST be able to watch American Idol, Dancing with the "Stars", and just a couple other shows. Then its off again.

Maybe unplugging my computer will be enough motivation to get out and exercise! It is a great idea to unplug and do other things. I can also see how hard it can be too!
We did the turn off your tv for a week when the kids were in elementary school. I loved it!!! But alas, they did not!
Well, I need to think of a day and then join in to unplug!
