(and dirty fingernails, holding the peeps in the last post. Yeah, I know you saw it.)

... just because he has a bad case of bed head, that his mother didn't bother to fix.

... just because he's wearing a wifebeater tank.

... just because these blue boots never leave his feet.

... just because this is how we have fun on the farm.

We're really not as redneck as it may seem.
Honest.
No really.
For real.
Okay, whatever. We're hicks.

Hi is so adorable!!
No judging here life is to short to worry about bed head and dirty fingernails!!
Have a wonderful day!!
i love it! its all part of being a kid right? and my son has camo rain boots that are glued to his feet too. we fight every day we leave the house about those stinkin boots! but they are so adorable. *sigh* little boys ;)
Oh my goodnesssssssssss Beki, you just kill me! You crack me up, you crack me up! I can't tell you how much I look forward to your posts!
I could care less if he has bed head, dirty fingernails, a dirty face, a wifebeater tank, or blue boots that never leave his face! He is beautiful!
I love your posts! And hey, if you are a hick, you know I am - I live in Nebraska! =)

Oh my, you are so funny! It's not being a hick, it's having a (super cute) boy on a farm. Looks like fun to me! However, if we see him riding a pig bareback in your next post I may have to reconsider. :)

There ain't nothin wrong with bein a hick (lol) Ha!!! Love it!! Hey, who doesn't like to get down and dirty and not give a hoot!!!
if that's life on the farm then you can count me in cause I think he looks cute as can be! :)
We don't call in dirt at our house. It's fun residue! He looks like a super fun little guy to me.
you sound like us! sean has those same wifebeaters... but we don't call them wifebeaters we call them safety shirts LOL. and the same bedhead. and the same dirty nails & face. ha! they would be best friends!
Okay, I don't live on a farm, so what can I use as an excuse?
Oh I'm cracking up! My two year Everett would be his fast friend! I think Ev looks like that about 98% of the time - when he doesn't have on his boots - he's wearing holes in his socks - we go through so many socks!!
You make me smile. I think he looks exactly the way children are supposed to look when they have a lot of love and fun in their family.
Oh yes you are...and thats just great, me too! I was out sitting on the haystack yesterday just watching the animals and soaking up the sun..I grew up on a farm and it is me! He..is such a cutie, and oh, those eyes..bet it's hard to refuse him anything! Come say hi :D
Dirt means you are fully experiencing living!! My husband still has bed head all day - it's just his hair!!
It just means you know how to suck the love out of life that is all and it is magical!! don't have to explain it to me!! he is a cutie!
He is too cute! I have a little whose hair is almost always bed head....and I rarely fix it. I think it is cute and fun. :)
Dirty or not, I always enjoy seeing pictures of your kids. They're adorable and you all always look like you're having such fun. That's what is most important anyways, right?
A little dirt is a sure sign of a happy and healthy kid!
Thanks for visiting my blog! This gave me a good laugh... also because I have the pants he's wearing with the boots... so does my daughter :) It has a matching cheerleader sweatshirt :) Too funny!
Oh,, he is too cute,, ALL boy as my mama would say?? I'd love to live on a farm,, i'd probably look like that too. Thanks for stopping by my blog.
a boy just isn't a boy without grubby fingernails.
The only judging I am doing is to say these photos are amazing! I like the first few of him in the white wifebeater the best, actually! He is adorable, and I think these pictures really capture his spirit.
LOL!! This is what makes your blog so delightful. Your kids are real kids. Having fun and getting dirty is what being a kid is all about. Love the post :) Blessings to you.
He's beautiful...dirty face, bed head, wife beater and all! Dirt is good for you...my pediatrician said so!
that second picture just melts my heart...sweet boy!
Oh, if that isn't the cutest little boy I ever did see. I love the 2nd picture. I can just hear him saying "I didn't do it. Honest." I just want to hug him. Give him an extra hug for me.
What an adorable big kid the bad baby has turned into.
And I'm still jealous of your farm.
Do you have your pickup truck??
Love the pictures...he is so cute!
I dont know if I can handle "the baby" being called "the kid". He is a handsome little man!
Those pictures are the best! Kids are suppose to get dirty especially boys. My little guy (18 months) is just learning that he can get really dirty outside and he is loving it.
You are the best! He's so adorable. Those expressions are too much. Straight out of a movie, seriously.
I call my son's bedhead "The Rooster." It's pretty amazing, actually.
How could anyone resist that little face!?
What a cutie!!!!
Melinda
I feel so ashamed. I am the smily-face-finder in my family, and I never even saw it til you said something on your FB page. **sigh** I have let myself down!
no judging here....that's a GOOD life!!
=)
LOL! I've been watching too much HGTV--I see that undershirt and all I think is that he just needs to add some overalls over the undershirt and he'll be just like Mike Holmes!

Love the smiley face :) And that little guy is too cute for words, seriously. And about the fingernails LOL -- my youngest said to me the other day at school She: "Hey mom, look at my fingernails! Me: "did you cut them?" She: "No, they're CLEAN!" So, I can totally relate LOL.
OMG, Beki - I'm the biggest lover of smiley face =)
I can not believe I missed it! I love it now that I see it!
I hope you are enjoying some coffee this morning, probably not bacon flavored, but at least some coffee!?
♥Lori
Looks like fun to me! And for the record I married a guy who was a boy just like that - yeah they never change, just get better with age! :)
I wanted to let you know I chose you for a Beautiful Blogger Award!

Hahahaha...SO adorable. That's a child who lives life!
What a cutie pie! I can tell from the photos that he has a terrific personality. By the way, my son's hair always looks like bedhead! He inherited his daddy's awful cowlick. Nails and face are typically dirty, too. And we don't live on a farm!
and is your face any cleaner? ;)
too cute. real life hicks. i've only ever read about them in books!
the only judging i am doing is thinking about what a great mommy you are. if you had clean kids who had to wear shiny shoes all the time, i'd judge. i think you are awesome and i think your little man is GORGEOUS!!!!
Can I please judge you? And the verdict is: Totally realistic mom. Love the dirt, the beater, and the hair and so does your kid.
LMAO!! You crack me up!
I didn't notice any of those things! What caught my eye is the very happy little man with a wonderful Peep in his hand! Pure pleasure was the look on his face! How life should be! 8-)
I have two boys so you won't be judged by me :)
