Oh, yeah! :)
alot of people think kansas is boring and there is nothing to do, but i don't. i think its beautiful. thanks to my dad i've seen alot of kansas. we used to go on road trips. the furthest we went was liberal to see the geografical center of the contiguous 48 states. it was kind of unimpressive, but the family time was fun!
i mean lebanon...we went to liberal too though...
beautiful!!
I am a born and raised Kansan, and DEFINITELY agree!!!!
i've always had a soft spot for kansas...the flint hills get me every time i drive thru them.
It is so wonderful to love where you live...I feel the same way!
I am having a "Blue Monday" giveaway. Hope you can pop over and take a look! So nice visiting your blog today! Have a great Wednesday!
Stay Cozy, Carrie
Aww, you're making me miss it. I grew up in Kansas. I don't live too far away (Oklahoma), but still nothing beats the way you can see ALL the way to the horizon at sunset.
Looks beautiful to me!!
Green grass!! I miss it. We're still brown here in Minnesota. Thanks for stopping by my blog today. :)
I have two friends that moved to Kansas from Florida and they love it, snow and all!
Days like that picture will make people want to visit for sure. Its cold and dreary in Nebraska today. So Im liking your pic much better.
beautiful.
That picture makes me miss home, which will always be Kansas. Spent the first 22 years of my life there and the last 7 in 4 other states - MO, OH, FL and SC - and they don't compare. Only 3.5 more years until we can come back, for some reason the Navy just doesn't have any bases in KS! :)
Gorgeous! Kansas tends to get a bad rap, but I have always thought it is a beautiful state! Thanks for sharing:)
I believe you!! That photo is so lovely. I live in AZ and we have "grass" if you can call it that ha ha. It never grows well no matter how hard we try. I have my sights on moving someday though :)
With this warm weather we have had everything is defiantely greening up, including the wheat. Just wish it would stay warm.
I have lived in KS my whole life...actually not to far from you. You always say you want to live somewhere else when you live some place, but actually KS is not bad and will probably never leave!
I agree! It's the only place you can live where it is 28 degrees and snowing on Saturday and then a balmy 73 on Monday!! Not to mention that Wichita was rated No. 1 most affordable city on the today show the other day ! Woohoo!
http://blogs.kansas.com/haveyouheard/2010/03/22/today-show-names-wichita-no-1-most-affordable-city/!
dangit, i'm coming over.
one day.
for sure!
I have been BEGGING my husband to move to KS. Don't get me wrong, I love FL, but man, real estate is ex-pen-sive! My husband, who now drives a truck for living, just drove through KS today. He went through Kansas City, Emporia, Newton, Hutchinson and of course lots of other small cities. He thought is was gorgeous! Keeping my fingers crossed that we can move to the country!
maybe if I could be YOUR neighbor, and you always took pictures of my kids...
but, we have Disneyland in 10 minutes. Maybe YOU should move HERE!
We drove though Kansas last September on our way to Texas. I was blown away by the beauty of Kansas. We will be diving through again in May and I can't wait!
Anytime we are driving somewhere, I always look at Ryan and say: How can anyone not think Kansas is beautiful?! His reply is always: You're preaching to the chior. I especially love this time of year when the wheat is first beginning to come up. Gorgeous!
LOL! I just watched a video today about the destruction of tornadoes in, among other places...Kansas! Nice to see another side of the state.
As my profile says "I am Missouri born and bred but Kansas wed."
I love the midwest and wouldn't want to live anywhere else.I would miss our four seasons.
Ther is more to do here than a lot of people think.
Melinda
This picture makes me homesick.
Obviously I was typing fast and not paying attention...
We were dRiving, not diving.... and thRough not though...*rolling eyes at myself*
beautiful!! great picture
Looks Heavenly!
AWESOME BLOG!!!!! how did i not find it until today? kansas DOES rock and i'm so excited to find another fellow kansan who knows it, AND with such an awesome blog, to boot!

Leanne
gorgeous shot!
we could move into your beutiful flip jobs!!
but seriously, the THOUGHT of tonadoes scares the ever'loving daylights out of me.
kansas is fine...in the spring, summer & fall.
i'm just a cold, snow, & winter snob.
Lovely picture. And thanks for commenting on my $5 challenge post. I'm a junky for praise!
Okay, but you're gonna need to build a pretty big barn to house us all. Let me know when my wing of said barn is ready and I'm as good as there! ;-)
I love vistas.
And...oops, I did it again. You made me, lol.
THANK YOU! Living in Texas and from Nebraska. People assume it's crazy boring "up there" and that's why I must have "fled to Texas". Take me back please. I miss NE. I miss that picture in real life. I miss grass. I miss 4 full seasons.
Thank you for letting me vent my frustrations about living in a new state. :)
Nothing like the midwest. Nothing.
Love this post - I'm from Illinois & it's beautiful too! A lot of people don't realize there is a lot more to IL than Chicago - about 95% of the state actually isn't Chicago :) We live in the deep country & I can't imagine life any other way!
