Top 10 things I learned this week...

1. Too much sleep can lead to very little productivity.

2. You can't substitute York Peppermint Patties for toothpaste.

3. It's never too early to require child labor of your kids.

4. Don't call your husband while he's at the store and ask him to get razor refills. There's a good chance he'll think they're too expensive and bring home cheap plastic disposables instead.

5. Some people think I'm funny online. Which is very funny, in itself, because in real life I'm a total snore.

6. Just because the calendar says it's Spring - that don't mean diddly squat.

7. When you're grocery shopping, always always always grab an extra bottle of coffee creamer. It's a tragedy to run out. For your sake. For your kids' sake. Just do it.

8. A small town hardware store has a surprising amount of interesting home decor items.

9. Every top, blouse, and shirt in my closet is aqua.

10. Sometimes it's okay to serve pretzels and mini donuts for dinner.

Happy Weekend!

It is never ever to early for child labor. And the snow? What is up with that? I'm in Arkansas and we're supposed to get some tonight.

My best bloggy BFF just sent me some of your earrings (I'm going to post on them tomorrow) and I love love love them. Thanks for making such cute and quality stuff!

i love this post...not too sure about that child labor thing, though! haha--how cute is the little one with the vacuum thingie??? get 'em while they're young and think working with the tools is fun, that's what i say. once we did ice cream sundaes for dinner....and for some reason my kids have never forgotten it and now they're old. so glad we did it--life sort of flies by and we fly by the seat of our pants most days. you're awesome ;-) happy spring, snow and all...

Don't think of it as 'child labor'. Think of it as teaching them responsibility. They'll be teenagers with the neatest rooms!

isn't having free slave labor part of the reason to have kids in the first place? LOL! Happy Spring! We have cold & rain but at least it's not snow.

My kids are quite fond of working, its kind of bizzare. As far as that dinner goes.....brilliant thinking! One more thing....those floors are looking GREAT!

There is just no way with your sense of humor that you could even remotely be a total snore. You are too too funny! Love your posts

thanks for the laugh girlfriend, I needed it. #8 can be very fun

I've discovered #7 is critical. I'm such a creamer freak that I actually keep a stash of those little packets you get in hotel rooms with the suger/powdered creamer/stir stick/napkin in case there's some sort of natural disaster and I can't get to the store. Even though powdered is so wrong, it's better than nothing.

This post made me laugh! Thanks, it's been a long day and I needed it!

Can I come over for dinner? :)
It seems like it was cold everywhere today, after a little bit of spring teasing.
And since the York Peppermint Patties for toothpaste don't work you could try the Hershey Kisses Creme de Menthe-also minty. haha

i don't believe it...there's no way a person with that much aqua in her closet could be a snore in real life. happy weekend!!

Ha ha, the razor refill story sounds like my boyfriend! Those things are expensive! I hate how they try to take advantage of us women for things we HAVE to buy (read: tampons?!?).

Chad and Jody said...

Seriously, in public I have never snored because of you. I think you're a very cool mom. I love this list. Hmmm... makes me wonder what mine would be.

Annie said...

Child Labor? Why do you think children were conceived? Just kidding!!!! Although mine do help around the house too!!!
And I have learned it is sometimes okay to serve ice cream, straight out of the carton with the biggest spoon in the house, for dinner...
Hope spring comes your way soon!

Wendy said...

Yeah, I'm totally coming to your house for dinner. :o)
