Did you know...

...that I love Miley Cyrus' Party In The USA?

...that my dog, Stitch, still hasn't been found. I think he's gone for good.
We've searched everywhere, contacted all the neighbors and shelters.
I just hope he's in a good home somewhere.

...that I'm still fighting for internet service?
We've tried 4 (I think?) so far and none of them work well here.
We're only like 5 miles from the nearest town, so I wouldn't think it would be that difficult, but what do I know...

...that I'm planning something big for Fall? Something that involves artists, food, antiques, and lovely junk.

...that there are white mulberries? Heather told me. She works for me.
And when she's not making jewelry, she's a mulberry expert.
Actually she just knows how to use google.
She's a smart one, that Heather. I think I'll keep her around.

...that I'm becoming a jelly making fool? All this fruit needs to be used.

...that I still have boxes all over my house that need unpacked?

...that I'm a real country girl now? When I was picking mulberries earlier, 2 possums walked right across the yard and I didn't even scream.
Or freak out.
Or do anything other than say, "Hm. There go a couple of possums."
Then go back to picking berries.

...that I haven't had a haircut in over a year? Not even a trim. It's bad.

...that mean people stink? True story.

...that it's normal to see combines driving down my road?

...that my kids can stay in the pool for 9 hours a day and not care?

Can relate to quite a few of these - I no longer freak out when I see coyotes or bobcat, but I do still get excited. Hmm, same holds true for when I see rattlesnakes, tarantulas, and poisonous desert toads. Maybe it's time to leave....

I still freak out when I see the neighborhood black cat walking in my yard- or on my roof. You must be more brave than me.

So sorry your pup hasn't returned! :( Sadness.
I never knew there were white mulberries, but I bet they make some good jelly!

I thoroughly enjoyed your view of life today. I'm so sorry Stitch hasn't returned to you. I would be inconsolable if Kes disappeared. I, too, hope that your pup is being loved and cared for by whoever might have found him. Also, kids can stay in the water EVEN when they get all wrinkly. I love it!

Did you know....that I absolutely love this post and your blog? Did you also know that I feel terrible for ya about Stitch? I really hope he has been having a fun little adventure and that he will turn up or someone will bring him to your doorstep and he will be happy to see you all. And did you further know that I could stay in the pool for 9 hours if someone would let me?
I need a farm. Truly I do.

I'm so sorry you haven't found Stitch! How are the kids taking it? I'm still holding out hope that he'll find his way home.

And no haircut for a year? Is that why there have been so many Bigfoot sightings in Kansas?

I cant stand picking weeds in my backyard for fear of seeing the neighborhood snake. If a possum walked by....oh man! I think my son would say that you, Beki, are in "beast mode". LOL Thats a good thing!

Did Stitch go back to your old house, Beki? That's what one of my cats did years ago. We moved and tried to keep her in the garage for a few weeks. She escaped three times and went to the old home and we tried but just couldn't get her to stop going back to where she considered "home" to be.

Mulberries...yum! :)
