Fingerprint Friday

There is a song by Steven Curtis Chapman that says:
I can see the fingerprints of God
When I look at you
I can see the fingerprints of God
And I know its true
You're a masterpiece
That all creation quietly applauds
And you're covered with the fingerprints of God

So look around you and see where YOU can see God's fingerprints. Is it in nature? Kids? Animals? Where do you see them? Here's how to join in.

1. Blog with your interpretation of God's fingerprints. Be sure to link back here so others can find the entire list of participants.
2. After you've posted your blog, sign the Linky below. Have fun exploring the other links as well!
Please sign in only if you're participating. Hopefully this will make us look at things through fresh eyes throughout the week.
-------------------

Last weekend we knew it was raining all night.
But when we woke up, we were still surprised. There was water everywhere.
Our basement had several inches of water.
The creek was nearly coming in our front door.
Most roads around us were flooded.

But we know God's promise. He will always hold true to his promises!
Sometimes His fingerprints are not on seen on the tiny delicate things, but in His sheer power instead.
The power of water really became evident this week.

Genesis 9:11
I establish my covenant with you: Never again will all life be cut off by the waters of a flood; never again will there be a flood to destroy the earth."

Yes, you are right indeed. Last night we had crazy skies, gusting winds, hail and lightning -- powerful weather, powerful God.

Question - Do you have a button for Fingerprint Friday? I'd love to put it on my blog.

Thanks.

Melanie, I don't have a button for it yet. It's crossed my mind several times but I've just never done it. This might be the push I needed though. :)

Water coming in places it's not supposed to is not fun! We had sooo much rain the other night/morning we had to use the wet/dry vac. Not fun.
Hope everything stayed dry.

I love that song--it's one of my favorites and I like to think about it when I'm feeling down. :-)

You are so right about seeing God in the power of a storm or in the flood and not in the little things only! Great post. Hope your house dries out soon.

Wow! We hardlly think about getting too much water until it storms...then it doesn't seem to stop! I didn't used to think we lived in a swamp, but we have had plenty of storms that made it seem that way. Summer storms can really form fast, glad you are doing ok. Smile today. :)

Wow, that's a lot of water! We've had flooding in our area at times and it certainly does show God's awesome power.
