Fingerprint Friday

There is a song by Steven Curtis Chapman that says:
I can see the fingerprints of God
When I look at you
I can see the fingerprints of God
And I know its true
You're a masterpiece
That all creation quietly applauds
And you're covered with the fingerprints of God

So look around you and see where YOU can see God's fingerprints. Is it in nature? Kids? Animals? Where do you see them? Here's how to join in.

1. Blog with your interpretation of God's fingerprints. Be sure to link back here so others can find the entire list of participants.
2. After you've posted your blog, sign the Linky below. Have fun exploring the other links as well!
Please sign in only if you're participating. Hopefully this will make us look at things through fresh eyes throughout the week.

"Don't you know, don't you know that you're beautiful?"
This is another set of song lyrics that I hear on the radio all the time.
And the other day I heard the dj say, "Every teenage girl in the world needs to listen to that."
And it's true. It's a great song!

But I keep thinking, "What about the grown women? The ones who are insecure? The ones who constantly feel inadequate? They're beautiful too. Made in the image of God."

But as grown women, this is hard to admit. Of course we want our daughters to be strong and proud of who they are, but we need to be also.
I don't need to have a certain house, dress a certain way, have a lot of money, have X amount of friends, or drink excessively to impress people.
I don't need to impress anyone but God.
I am made exactly as God wanted me to be made.
And just by that, I am beautiful.

That is what we call "secure with ones self"..We are what we are and there is no need to impress anyone.
I know this, when you try to live by the book, it shows on ones face..especially the eyes..all the makeup in the world, can not create that beauty..
Happy Fingerprint Friday.

I think you would be even more beautiful if you were sporting a mullet. Just sayin... :)

Amy, that's why I'm growing my hair so long. So I can cut the top and have a rockin' mullet! Ha!

Thank you ladies!

Beauty comes from that glow on the inside...God's light. It does seem to take a lifetime of self-doubt to finally realize that God makes us the beautiful ones, but it has to come from within, not saying go without though. Smile today. :)

Wow! That's beautiful! I'll admit it, I am the mom who is constantly telling my kids that the only person they need to please is God, but have my own insecure tendencies! Praying they will grow up stronger than me and that at some point I will get over myself :)

I love the whole concept of fingerprint Fridays - I might just try it next week! :)

Through His eyes, we're all beautiful.

Linking up for the first time. Love the theme of God's fingerprints in our everyday lives. It's hard to select just one example, isn't it?

Well said--but I still think it is VERY hard for us to think this way.
I do like the idea that I am made as God wanted me to be made. But it si still hard. Thanks for reminding us about this.

Have a terrific holiday weekend!!!

You're so right, I'm still working on it...way past my teens! I thought I had to be perfect before God could love me. It was a huge relief to learn that He loves me just as I am. Perfectly imperfect. :)
