Road trip...

Recently we took a little road trip to Missouri, which is where I'm from.
I know I say it all the time, but I love the midwest.
I really do.

You know how I could tell we were back in Kansas?

Nobody does skies like Kansas. (Okay, maybe Oklahoma. And parts of Texas. And a few other states...But still.)

And nobody does wind farms like Kansas.

Not that I'm bragging or anything... *ahem*

I'm telling ya, you should move here.

There really is a beauty about the Midwest isn't there? Nebraska can do a pretty great sky as well! ;)Looks like a wonderful road trip!

Wow. Those skies are awesome. There's no hiding in a gorgeous place like that, huh? The land just goes on and on.
Beautiful!

Yes. But I am 10 minutes from Disneyland! I can't give that up! The skies here are nice, too!

I love the Nebraska skies, too -- truly awe-inspiring. And I just drove home from MN through Iowa -- pretty amazing wind farms there, too.

I just ordered three pieces of jewelry from your site -- for good friends, all of whom are turning 40 in August. I love your work!!

My favorite color is green. So, I'm sure you can imagine what I thought of Kansas when I visited a friend there.

I love Kansas! It's gorgeous and blue and green and perfect. Now that my friend moved though... I just can't justify going there on vacation just to stand in a field. (Ok, I can for myself... but not to my Hubs ; ))

You don't really like it there. You want to move to Washington. These are not the droids you're looking for.

I agree Kansas skies are awesome, so blue with little white puffy clouds, just like in a storybook. I just had a hard time not being by the ocean!

I live in Kansas too and we love the small town feel in our little town!! We were recently driving through NY State on vacation and you should have seen hoops and hollers we got when people saw our KS liscence tags! You would have thought we were aliens or something!! PS: I'm from MO too!

Awesome wind farms. Beautiful skies. But too far from the ocean. :(

I'm from the Flint Hills and my dad always says he wants it to stay undiscovered because if more people knew about it they'd ruin it for the rest of us.

I just ran across you on Twitter (@somebodyhealme). I'm headed to BlogHer 10, too. I'm also going to the Martha Stewart event. I hope to meet you then!

The US has a lot of beautiful places BUT the midwest is the best.

but Kansas has a lot of special places too!

My family and I were in Wichita this past weekend and those skies were great. We even looked at homes! It's such a different landscape and lifestyle than Arizona.
