A day without housework or cooking, to have my sweet family do that all for me :)
Celebrating with my kids And my mom. And sleeping in....and getting my hair done.
Two years ago was my first Mother's Day after my daughter moved away to college. My husband and son took me to see the movie Wolverine on Mother's Day. My perfect Mother's Day would be doing anything but seeing Wolverine. ;)

the ideal mother's day for me would be to have my whole family go to church with me and then enjoy anything that i didn't have to cook!!
I think it would be fun to go get mani/pedis with my daughter. She's a lot of fun to spend time with. And I'm guessing she'd pick green nail polish.
My ideal Mother's Day would be a day where the house is already clean, laundry is done and we could go out to lunch then come home and watch movies together.

Spending the day in the beautiful Flint Hills of Kansas with my 2kids, my mom and MIL. I love family get togethers! Letting the men in our lives grill, make homeade ice cream and clean up after us wouldn't be bad either!

Today my ideal gift would be a new lens for my new camera...so I can take beautiful pictures of my family!
I don't know what I would choose for myself for Mother's Day as an ideal gift, but I have hinted (rather blatantly) to my husband that i'd like one of your necklaces. :) Also gardening tools. Or flowers. I am pretty easy. Get me a spade and I am happy! :D
My ideal mother's day is just lounging around with my boys and some flowers and a card would be nice too!

My ideal mother's day present to my mom would be to spend some time w/ her. Since my move away a few years ago, she craves her girl time. Unfortunately I will be stuck at work that weekend...
Hmmmm... probably a weekend away with my hubby! Tho I was just showing my kids my falling apart slippers and told them that Mother's Day is coming up! :)
This year we are going to The Bahamas for Mother's Day. I think that tops all mother's day gifts! <3
My ideal Mothers Day gift would be to spend the day with my own mother.

A day of harmony, one filled with children's sweet voices speaking kindly, helping hands before being asked, from sunrise to sundown a house filled with a spirit of peace and love, no guilty feelings on my part about how I haven't measured up as a mother, just contented harmony for the day....winning your gift certificate is far more realistic even if odds are one in a million, but I can dream, right?

Since I'm not a mother, my ideal mother's day gift would be to be able to do something really special for my mom. If I could have the resourses to pay off her house, or eleviate a major expense that would be awesome. She's retired but still working & so I'd like to give her the ability to not worry.

A day with no cooking, cleaning or laundry, just good food, family and friends.
My guys already gave me the perfect Mother's Day gift and they don't even know it. We spent last weekend on a road trip...we left home in storm warnings, drove through blinding rain (and lightning), got soaked, had a flat tire, and spent three days driving through the Kansas that I love. We left with little idea of where we were going, just knowing that we had to be home by Sunday. We drove back roads, visited historical markers (because), ate and ate and ate, and acted like idiots, together. They never batted an eye when I said, "Wait, I need a picture of this!" as we could see the fields burning against the evening sky. *sigh* It was fabulous!

I want something sentimental this year. My husband used to be a softy and do something sentimental but that seemed to stop when we had kids. Boo! A necklace or frame or something would be great!
The ideal Mother's day would be my favorite breakfast followed by a facial and a pedicure. Spending some time with my family and then just taking the evening to read by myself!

I have loved mother's day so much more the past couple of years since I've gotten married because my mother in-law is the MOST wonderful woman in the world - we love sending her something for her special day because she is always so sweet and loves everything! I think something shiny and personalized would beat last year's flowers, though, hands down ;)
it would have to be breakfast in bed and a nice boquet of flowers, thanks
the one word tab necklace is perfect!! :)
A day with no obligations (housework, work work) so that i can enjoy they day with my family.

A day filled with time together as a family (husband, daughter, son-in-law and two granddaughters) ... church, lunch, playing at the part or riding bicycles. And also a phone call from son who lives in Texas.
I would like to hear something, anything from my twin step-son. Last year got blown off (forgotten) the year before we had just gotten back from our honeymoon. I just want to feel like I'm making some progress. So I guess I'd like a break.....
Linked it on FB as well :)
my ideal mother's day gift would be one night by myself in a fancy hotel so i could a) have QUIET b) take a long bath c) watch HGTV because I don't have cable at home d) read.
:-)
i liked the rusted chain on FB.

i tweeted it (@raineydunn). have i mentioned i love everything in your shop?!?!?
My ideal would be to: sleep late, have someone else prepare and clean up after-a meal, to stay in my "lounge wear" all day and to read a book...uninterrupted.
Heavenly.
Right now I just want to say sleep because it's 12:30 and my 3 year old (my oldest of 3) is still awake and my to do before bed list is still a mile long. In my more sane, composed, and less sleep deprived state I'm sure I would say something sweet like their hugs and kisses or dandelions they pick for me from our back yard.

I'd love to be able to hug my mom and tell her how strong and brave she is, how she's taught me to be hardworking and a servant, to take her somewhere and spoil her. She deserves a special day after the year she's had.
Ah, just found your blog via T@iy@ at mycargoofjoy.blogspot.com and immediately lost myself clicking around and reading. I didn't follow you for the entry, so you know...I followed because I really enjoyed reading and will be back. :-) That said, my ideal Mother's Day will be the one I actually have planned with my 82 year old mom, her best friend of over 40 years, my elderly neighbor-who-is-like-family who recently lost her only (grown) child, my friend who has had both daughters (18 and 21) do many ignorant things and are now out of state and my own 19 year old son. The bunch of us are our own little family, minus 3 this Mother's Day, but I'm still reminded again how blessed I am to have them all even though most of them do stay on my very last nerve.
My ideal Mother's Day would start at church surrounded by my hubby and kids, there will be the Blessing of Mother's, I'll have tears of joy and gratitude, then spend the day with my family with them treating me and my mom like Queen Bees. We've been doing this for forever and I don't want it to change EVER! BTW..."queens" love necklaces ;-)
My ideal gift would probably be a brand new sewing machine.
I'm a Facebook fan.
You had earrings awhile back that I loved. And I need more earrings. :)
Hmm... so I just read the "rules." I was supposed to post my ideal Mother's Day gift. Oops. I'm actually still waiting to cash in my gift from last year. A night at a hotel... alone. I guess since I haven't used it yet I should get another one this year. Then I would get 2 nights!! Awesome.
Mine would be breakfast in bed and a day with the kids at the beach. Thanks for the chance.

Hi must say as a momma of 6 beautiful children here age 16 and under, and 1 in heaven (lost to miscarriage Jan 20 2011). I get my favorite gift every year. A nice homecooked breakfast,a handfull of picked dandilions to start my day.
We go to Mass on Saturday nights...
Then hubby and a few of my younger kiddos plant pony packs of flowers in my patio containers.
(While I take pictures)
Then we have a nice steak BBQ dinner and eat sitting out back watching the kiddos play on the sports court and swing set!
Peace and Love,
Georgiann

Ideal mothers day gift? Just a quiet day with my family. A wonderful meal at home. Peace.
Ideal mothers day gift would be my 3 girls handing me envelopes...one with a spa package in it. One with plane tickets for the hubs and I to get away somewhere exclusive where all plans were made, and the third being homemade cards from my girlies. Alot to wish for I know.
My ideal mothers day would be for my family to clean my house and then spend the rest of the day cuddled up watching movies, playing games and chilling together!
