Monday Monday and 2 giveaway winners.

We've had so much beautiful weather lately, but now? It's cold.
Brrr.
And snowy.
But not enough snow to sled or have fun in.

Just enough snow to make you curl up indoors with hot chocolate. Or hot tea.
Or of course, coffee.

Over the weekend I had a last minute girl's night out.
Soooo refreshing! It's amazing how good it is for the soul to spend a hour or two with girlfriends.

Then I had an unexpected date with The Man.
Also, sooo welcomed! There was a tire store and a WalMart trip to pick up toilet paper involved, but hey... I'll take what I can get.
(In kindergarten they teach the kids "You get what you get and you don't throw a fit.")

Lilo got sprayed by a skunk.
As if Basset Hound stink isn't enough, add some skunk spray to it.
All weekend we've called her Skunky, with a long drawn out eeeee at the end. "Come here, Skunkyyyy!" "Ohhhh, get out of my bed, Skunkyyyyy!"
"Skunkyyyyy, I love you too, but I just can't have you in my lap right now..."

I've been fighting a cold on and off for about 2 weeks now. It will seem to be gone, but then comes right back.
I spent yesterday on the couch with a fever and no voice.
But it gave me an excuse to lay around all day so whatever.
Today I have a kid home from school with a fever.

It's time for Vitamin D.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not all down and depressed.
But I find that Vitamin D supplements work wonders for me when it's gray and dreary outside.
Maybe it's all in my head. But I'll still keep taking them.

The winners of a $50 gift certificate to TheRustedChain.com are - Christie and Zoeby. Congrats!! Please email therustedchaininfo AT yahoo.com to claim your prize.

Oregon Chai Tea Latte mix!!!!!! Our son told me about it while he was in Iraq in '06. He said it was something like drinking pumpkin pie.....we have been drinking it ever since. Love, love, love it! Found it at Wally World.--Purple and yellow box in the tea isle...

It's cold & snowy here too. I was really okay w/ all the unseasonably warm stuff. =/ Oh well. We take vitamin C, and airborne when we feel something coming on. So far, we haven't dealt w/ anything major, and I'm thankful.

This weekend was really cold and blustery, and we all stayed in on Saturday. My hubby baked & kept the house warm! I drank a lot of tea - my year-round fav.

Hope you're feeling better soon! ~Sally

Here in Boston we say, "You get what you get and you don't get upset" because the way we pronounce "get" rhymes with "pet" and not "fit."

I just learned about the fact that different regions use that differently recently.

Happy Monday!

Beautiful snowfall! I love coffee but when it's snowy and really cold out I really love tea especially my Harney and sons Paris tea. I think part of my love is imagining I am sitting under the Eiffel tower sipping my tea eating crepes. Not getting covered in a foot of snow ;)

I'm a tea drinker my self. And you are not crazy about the Vitamin D thing. Vitamin D is the " sunshine vitamin" Our best source is sunshine and you you live in northern regions ( which I do and it sounds like you do too )we don't get nearly enough and the only way to get it is through supplements. You really need between 1000-2000 IU to get the benifits of it. It really is a very important vitamin.

Hazelnut International Coffee
They are just beginning to test for Vitamin D deficency on blood work. Many people have low levels. Mine is extremly low. Vit. D is so good for so many different areas of our body.....brain.....colon......heart....immunity. My brother lives in Alabama and I live in Ohio and we both have low levels. So sunshine isn't always the source.
