Your voice...

Not your literal physical voice, but the voice God's given you to impact those around you.

What is your voice like? Gentle? Encouraging? Booming? Relatable? Distant? Angry?
Maybe you have a blog...
Maybe you're a teacher...
Maybe you're a gifted painter...
Maybe you work with Sunday School kids...
Maybe your voice is through photography...
Maybe you work in a homeless shelter...
Maybe you're a stay at home mom...
Maybe you work in an office cubicle...

Whatever the situation, God has given you a voice.
Me? I believe my voice is silly. Funny. Sometimes sarcastic. But usually encouraging.
It's not a huge voice. I have a few thousand followers here on this blog, a few thousand more on Facebook and twitter.
That's more than some, not nearly as many as others.
But the number of people my voice is reaching doesn't matter so much.
It's the tone. It's what I'm saying. It's how I'm using my voice.
Am I building people up or tearing them down?
Am I using my voice to focus on me and my accomplishments? Or am I using my voice to reflect God and his gifts?
Am I sharing the love of God through my voice?

I'm happy to now have another avenue to share my voice, through a new website called Beautifully Rooted.

If you've never thought about your voice, now's a good time to.
Think about who you're impacting and how.
For me, now's a good time to reflect on it, and refocus my voice on what it should be.

Happy Valentine's Day to you!!
