Simple Pleasures Week - Day 4

Today's simple pleasure is the garden.
To say that seeing things grow after hours of hard work is rewarding, is an understatement.

Nothing great has ever been, or can ever be accomplished without hard work.

And funny enough, the harder I work, the luckier I get.

Love my garden. It's been too wet the last week or so, but hopefully it dries off so I can get it planted next week. Right now I am enjoying watching all of our field crops pop through the ground. Very rewarding and always such a relief!

I love how, in what appears to be dark nothingness, bright green, hope germinates. Every year I am reminded through gardening how weak my faith is, because every year I am amazed when the tender shoots appear.

I needed to read that bit about hard work...I was feeling discouraged. So, I'll keep at it. :) Thank you.
