On Trayvon and Zimmerman...

You know this case.
You've seen the coverage.
I don't know much about much. I'm a white woman living on a farm in rural Kansas.
But this whole thing... it makes my heart hurt.
The judgement. The anger. The confusion.
The Christians lashing out. Not reflecting the Light we should be reflecting.
Worlds have been torn apart. Death.
Families destroyed.
Lives ruined.
Sadness. Devastation. Bitterness.
Can we learn? Absolutely, we can learn.
We learn to love more. Share more. Trust more, even when it seems illogical.
Not point and curse and shout and stew and judge and look just like people who don't have Jesus inside.
No.
We forgive more. We hug more. We smile more. We listen more.
We shine more. Brighter.
Brighter than ever.
We learn. We improve. We help. We love.
We reflect God.
That's all we can do.

Thank you. I have not been able to find the words to begin addressing this.

But if you want to help prevent this happening again in the future, here are some practical tips.

God bless you.
I love you.
Thank you.

I just came back to read this again. It's still as beautiful as the other times I read it. This line: "Not point and curse and shout and stew and judge and look just like people who don't have Jesus inside." YES. Thank you for writing this.
